About HTSE (Haryana Talent Search Examination)
The Haryana Talent Search Examination (HTSE) is an annual competitive exam organized by Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) for students in grades 6 to 12.
Its purpose is to identify and nurture talented students by evaluating their aptitude and knowledge across various subjects. HTSE provides a platform for young minds to demonstrate their abilities and potential in a competitive setting
Eligibility
- All the students of 5th to 12th standard are eligible to appear in this HTSE.
- Students from both government and private schools are eligible to register for this exam.
Exam Pattern
- Computer-Based Exam:
- The phase 1 exam will be conducted online.
- For phase 2 exam students are required to visit HKCL’s Authorized Learning Center to take the exam.
- The computer-based exam will be conducted through HKCL’s AI-empowered Online Examination System with a web camera.
- About the Exam Paper and Questions
- For each standard, students will have to solve a single question paper comprising questions from all subjects.
- All questions will carry equal marks regardless of difficulty level and educational objectives.
- Educational objectives include Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation/Judgement, as defined by educationist Dr. Benjamin Bloom.
- The question paper is divided into groups of questions, with each group containing questions from all subjects.
- Students can skip difficult questions and attempt the next ones, returning to unanswered questions later within the exam duration.
- Students can solve as many questions as possible within the 1-hour time limit.
- Students can end the exam at any time.
- The exam will automatically end after 1 hour.

Student Registration and Exam Process:
This examination will be conducted in 2 phases.
Phase 1:
You can give the first phase examination through online medium.
- Computer Based Online Exam
- 40 MCQ Questions
- Duration: 30 Minutes
- Medium: Hindi & English
Phase 2:
The second stage examination will be conducted through online mode through computer/laptop system at the Authorized Learning Center (ALC) of HKCL.

- 80 MCQ Questions
- Duration 60 Minutes
- Medium: Hindi & English
- In this Examination, students will be asked questions as per the syllabus given above.
- Students can also register for this examination through online medium. For which you can fill the online form at HTSE .
- For this examination, students can get their Admit Card (Stage 1) from our Center from 31st October 2024.
- The examination (Stage 1) of HTSE will be conducted from 5th November 2024 to 15th November 2024.
- Stage 1 Qualified students can get their Admit Card (Stage 2) from 20th November 2024 from ALC Centre.
- Stage 2 competitive examination will be conducted from 25th November 2024 to 28th November 2024.
- You can give the Stage 1 exam through online mode from 08.00 am to 05.00 pm.
- Stage 2 exam will be conducted from 08.00 am to 05.00 pm as per the slots available in ALC, for this the students will be coordinated by the ALC Coordinator.
Terms and Conditions
- Students from grades 5 to 12, studying in Hindi, Semi-English, and English mediums under HBSE, CBSE, and ICSE boards, are eligible to participate in HKCL HTSE.
- Students must visit an HKCL Authorized Learning Center (ALC) to take the online examination.
- Each student is allowed to participate in only one exam and can receive a maximum of one award.
- If a student wins at the state level, they will not be eligible for any district-level awards, and vice versa.
- HKCL may use the participants' information for future marketing and communication purposes.
- Students must take the exam for their respective group only (e.g., a 6th-grade student must take the Group A HTSE exam). If they attempt an exam for a different group, their marks will not be considered in the final result.
- Students from Hindi, Semi-English, and English mediums will be evaluated on the same criteria, and awards will not be distributed based on the medium of instruction.
- HKCL reserves all rights related to the HKCL HTSE.
- HKCL reserves the right to modify prize amounts, important dates, terms, and other details related to HKCL HTSE without prior notice.
- HKCL will not be liable for any modifications to the HKCL HTSE.
- HKCL reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this competition at any time without prior notice and will not be held liable for any such changes.
